Midland Lead is an award winning, sustainable UK manufacturer of recycled lead sheet products. Since 1983 we have produced over 600,000 tonnes of lead sheet for weatherproofing and radiation protection projects around the world. Recent projects include lead shielding at the very impressive View Hospital in Qatar and the new Paediatric and Maternity Hospital in Guyana.
Export Achievements
Attending Department for Business & Trade (DBT) and UKEF international events have played an important role in helping us gain access to key project stakeholders abroad and secure major contracts for hospital projects in the Middle East, Far East, Malaysia and Australia. These connections ultimately led to significant growth in export business.
DBT Support
International Trade Adviser Steve Morrison and sector specialist Louise Stock have worked closely with Midland Lead to support the implementation of their export strategy. When dealing with potential contracts in Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia, it was the intervention and support from the DBT teams in market that added influence and credibility to the business.
